Free bananas will be available for all riders at the Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge sportive in June thanks to a sponsorship from Del Monte.

Del Monte will provide bananas at feed stations on the 33, 63 and 104 mile Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge routes to give riders a tasty energy boost.

Northern Rock Cyclone organiser Peter Harrison said: “We try to make sure that riders are really looked after at the Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge so this latest link with Del Monte is a real boost for us.”
